SUMMARY

grew up in naples, florida with her mom n dad.. her mom frances was the type to be charming and protective one moment, then disppearing into her own struggles the next. the type to encourage cleo to climb trees to grab fruit but then leave cleo at the top of the tree when she's stuck by herself.

her dad russell was pretty emotionally absent... not much to say there... he was a profesional wrestler that wasn't around much.. she'd kind of wait like a dog at the door on nights she knew he'd be home and sometimes he'd never show. she went to a lot of his shows and honestly loved the theatrics of it all

she had a terrible bf kind of young that really messed her up... they were on n off and it gave her whiplash... he also gaslit her a lot so her view of love since that has been a bit.. skewed

her mom forced her to do piano when she was young simply so she could have Space from cleo because she never left her mom alone (aw). she honestly is VERY talented at it, but she sort of feels like it was something pointed at her by her mom to do and not her choice.. like questioning what of cleo is really herself

because of this she bought herself a nice keyboard. she likes the plastic, the freedom to play whenever she wants and not just at lessons, liked plugging her headphones in and just letting loose

moved to NEW YORK baby to try and pursue her music career. kind of loves it and composing music but also kind of. isn't sure what she's doing she's just kind of going with the flow at all times truly

5. who is your favorite character?

- i have so many favorite characters lol. but first and foremost has to be the love of my life, Klaus 🖤 (i can go into why he’s my number one favorite character another time if anyone wants to know lol) and some of my other favorite characters are under the cut 😅 there’s a lot of them so i thought i should just do this so if anyone doesn’t want to read all of that, they don’t have to lol.

13. do you have any dreams or aspirations?

- i do 🥰 i want to become an actor/actress 🖤 (well i guess actor is the more gender neutral of the two 😅) like to play a character and work on a show or movie that can help someone through the tough times like my favorite shows, movies, characters and actors/actresses have for me, or idk maybe make them feel less alone, that’s all i want.

i want to be able to tell that character’s story well enough that someone can relate to it or feel like they are being seen and heard. i just- to be able to give someone even a fraction of what my comfort/favorite movies, shows, characters & actors/actresses have given me and continue to give me and how they make me feel so much less alone when i’m struggling, always managing to put a smile on my face or making a good day even better, that would just mean the world to me 💙

i would love to be able to give someone the comfort, happiness, love and security my faves have given me and still do give me 🖤 and i would love for there to be more non-binary, bi/pan/queer and demisexual representation in media!

Me listening to Thunderpussy's song "Badlands" at the same time as I read past Big Country "Country Club" fanzine issues (currently I'm up to the mid-'90s): haha, too bad Big Country didn't write "Badlands", because how APPROPRIATE would THAT have been...

The truth, however, is that Big Country could never have written "Badlands". MAYBE some other band(s) could have, but...HEY, I'm not about to be ungrateful about the fact that Thunderpussy wrote it. They wrote a fucking masterpiece with it. And they played the SHIT out of it! The drums on it make me breathless, they are so fucking good. Ruby Dunphy my BELOVED fave drummer. :')

Wait...okay, actually, post not cancelled, but I just realized...Big Country kind of did write their own "Badlands"...and it's "Wonderland", of course. (The fact that both songs have "land" in their titles is kind of a coincidence, but kind of also not. Both are still dedicated to the concept of spaces - places - that overwhelmingly value love and the strength and honesty of love. And...to say that makes me think, hm, I wonder what that says about me that each of those songs are two of my all-time favorite songs ever?)
